PROJECT OVERVIEW
The site project consisted of 6 residential towers consisting of 362 units and a commercial / retail outlet at ground level.
THE CHALLENGE
The construction company required a company that was well versed and had the manpower and experience to waterproof internal and external wet areas throughout the 6 residential towers.
THE SOLUTION
Bostik Dampfix Gold Grey, Class 3 waterbased polyurethane membrane was used to waterproof each of the balcony and podium areas which were to be covered with a bonded tile overlay. Bostik Dampfix Gold Grey provides superior, high performance internal/external waterproofing solution, curing to form a continuous membrane void of welded seams where water could potentially get through.
All applications used Bostik ‘substrate to surface’ solutions incorporating compatible primers, bond breakers and sealants.
THE RESULT
Smartcote through their past experience in similar projects and their previous knowledge of the Bostik systems carried out the project as outlined in the Bostik TDS and to Australian waterproofing standards.
